Being Invested:

The Troop has ceremonies that the Scouts take part in to start and end their evenings as well as other special events. One of these includes the time that your child becomes an official member of the Scout Association, by taking part in their investiture.  At this time the Scouts are asked to make a promise.

Family and friends are invited to this ceremony that normally takes place between 4 and 6 weeks after joining the troop once they have completed all the requirements for the membership badge. We ask for a one-off payment of £16 for investment, this covers registration, the 74th Coventry Scouts necker, woggle, badges and book.

When you become a Scout you will need to follow the promise, law and motto:

The Scout Promise -
On my honour I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Scout Law.
The Scout Law -

2. A Scout is loyal.
3. A Scout is friendly and considerate.

6. A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.
7. A Scout has self-respect and respect for others.
